The Southeast CC Baseball Team is heading into the back stretch of its schedule with some mid season momentum. The Bobcats are 12 and 14 overall, but have quietly controlled conference play with a 7 and 1 record. Southeast took care of the Doane JV team on Monday afternoon 13 to 3. They've adjusted their schedule to travel to Luna with some tough weather on the way. It's all part of the deal according to Associate Head Coach Tyson Parks. "Luckly for us, our conference changed the format of the games to Friday's and Saturday's. Sometimes we go on these long road trips. It helps with travel. We're spending three days on the road anyway. We're moving this Luna series up to Wednesday and Thursday games. We'll be back in town on Friday, Hopefully we beat the weather."

The Bobcats are not ony beating the weather, they're taking care of business in conference play, and getting everybody's best shot along the way. "We're happy where we are at in conference, we've left some things out there, especially early. You're never absolutely satisfied. Our kids are excited to come to the ball park, that makes everything more enjoyable. We'll continue to get better if our kids keep a great attitude." Parks adds, " We welcome getting every body's best effort. That's just the way it is when you have a program that's used to winning, and alot of expectations that go with the success. Sometimes our new kids don't understand those things, but they realize it pretty quickly when they see other teams play against us. We're trending in the right direction, but every year there's an attitude in conference that, this is the year we can get SCC. We welcome having that target on us, it creates higher expectations of our program."
