SCC vs. North Platte CC Women's RECAP:
First year head coach Saundra Proctor got her biggest win as Bobcat head coach with a 69-55 pounding of North Platte CC. The Knights have owned the R9 since Head Coach Jeff Thurman came on board 7 years ago. That came crashing down last night as the Bobcats had more "want to" in every phase of the game. Southeast CC has won their last two games, and looked fresh and focused the entire game.
Jasmine McKenzie celebrated her birthday with a 16 point performance.
Carys Dawson flashed with 15 points, and
Makayla Lemelle pitched in 15 of her onw. It was the defensive performance that made the difference. Southeast CC forced 21 turnovers and scored 19 points off those Knight miscues in the first half. NPCC committed 30 turnovers for the game. Southeast improves to 4-17 on the season. They'll play next Saturday at McCook CC.
SCC vs. North Platte CC Men's RECAP:
The Southeast CC men held on for a 77 to 74 win over Knights Wednesday night. They improve to 12 and 11 on the season. The Cats were led by
Chang Deng and
Carson Forsey with 15 points a piece.
PJ Newbill added 12 to highlight the Bobcat scoring. Southeast CC went big to counter the Knight line-up as Jamari Franklin, Arthur Videira, and
Owen Bawden won the battle of the big men.Â
The Cats hit the road for a Saturday tilt with McCook CC.
