The SCC Men's and Women's Soccer teams opened the regular season home portion of their schedules hosting Northwest Iowa Community College on Monday. The Thunder of NWICC are in their first year of competition in the NJCAA. The Bobcat women lost a heartbreaker in the last minute by the score of 2 to 1. SCC falls to 0 and 3 with the loss. 
 
The Bobcat men had a strong showing against the Thunder as they grabbed their first win of the season with an 8 to 0 shutout. Denari Watson led the way with 4 goals. Francisco Barcelo added 3 more goals and Alfredo Benevides added another score for the Bobcats. It's the first win of the season for SCC as their record improves to 1 and 4. The Bobcats return to action tomorrow as they play host to Hesston College. The men start the doubleheader at 2:30pm, the women will follow at 5pm on the Beatrice campus pitch.
