Freshman
Denari Watson has had a busy week for the SCC Men's soccer team. The Jamaican had four goals against Northwest Iowa CC on Monday in an 8 to 0 win. He came back with another strong performance in yesterdays 7 to 1 win over Hesston College. The Bobcats improve to 2 and 4 with the win. Head Coach
Eli Brown says his team is on the right track despite it's win-loss record. "After an extremely tough schedule over the first 4 games, we've finally been able to show what we've been building over the past six weeks. The offense has come alive, outscoring our opponents 15 to 1 in the last two games while the defense has held sturdy with guys getting healthy for the first time this season."
A pair of Bobcats are starting to stand out nationally.
Denari Watson is ranked 4th in the nation in goals with 8 on the season.
Francisco Barcelo is ranked 11th nationally in assists with 4 on the year. As a team, the Bobcats rank 4th nationally in shots on goal percentage, shooting at a .548 clip.
SCC takes a two game winning streak to Columbus, NE on Saturday for a Region 9 contest with Central CC at noon.
