The Southeast CC Women's Basketball team suffered it's first loss of the season to the hands of the Northeast CC Hawks on Wednesday night, 88 to 53. Southeast falls to 2 and 1 on the season with the loss. The Hawks started strong with a 24 point first quarter. They scored another 21 in the second frame while holding the Bobcats to 3 points in the quarter. A Bobcat comeback didn't materialize in the second half, and NECC came away with the road win. The Hawks were led by Aaliyah Jones with 27 points. Mia Wiederin and Vilique Fallis added 17 a piece. Southeast CC got 14 points from Fr. Sophie Nguyen, 13 from Jessica Wertenberger and 11 from Fr. Madelyn Lubischer. 

Southeast CC is back on the Lincoln Gym floor on Saturday when they host the Hesston Larks. Tip-off is set for 1pm.
