Jake Hamilton is the Head Women’s Wrestling Coach at Southeast Community College, having completed his third year with the program. He served as the Associate Head Coach during the 2023–2024 season before taking over as Head Coach in the summer of 2024 to present. In a short time, Hamilton has helped build SCC into one of the premier junior college programs in the country.
During his tenure, Hamilton has coached 22 All-Americans, 5 national champions, and 7 NJCAA national finalists, establishing a culture centered on high performance, toughness, and consistency on the national stage. His teams have been nationally ranked in the Top 5 in both 2024 and 2025, and continue to compete among the elite programs in NJCAA women’s wrestling.
In 2026, Hamilton led the Lady Bobcats to a 7–1 dual record, a National Dual Team Runner-Up finish, and a runner-up finish at the NJCAA National Championships, marking one of the most successful seasons in program history. The previous season, SCC posted a 10–2 dual record, further solidifying the program’s rise as a national contender.
For his success and impact on the national level, Hamilton was named the 2026 NWCA NJCAA Women’s Wrestling National Coach of the Year, recognizing his leadership, athlete development, and role in elevating the program to national success.
Hamilton is known for his ability to develop athletes at all levels, combining high-level technical systems with a competitive, athlete-driven culture. His leadership continues to position Southeast Community College as a consistent national threat while preparing student-athletes for success beyond the mat.
