HAYS, Kansas - The SCC Shooting Sports Team traveled to Fort Hays State University this past weekend to compete in the Tiger 450. The Bobcats competed against 10 teams in five events: 100 Trap, 100 Doubles Trap, 50 Doubles Skeet, 100 Sporting Clays, and 100 Super Sporting Clays.

SCC performed well in the first full-field event of the season, finishing 5th overall with a team score of 1,964 out of a possible 2,250.

Team Results

The Bobcats placed 5th or better in every team event, headlined by a 4th-place finish in Super Sporting Clays.

Individual Highlights

Kahne Packer posted a 96 in Doubles Trap, then outlasted a six-way shoot off to claim a first-place finish for the second weekend in a row. Easton Roeber fired a near-perfect 99 in Trap to tie for 3rd overall in the event.

In aggregate, Skye Hoyer led the Bobcat men, finishing as the team's high male shooter at 406/450. Hoyer also topped the group in Sporting Clays with 89 and Super Sporting Clays with 90.

Brooklyn Ridley was the leader of the Bobcat women, leading the team in three separate events: Super Sporting Clays (88), Doubles Skeet (43/50), and Doubles Trap (88). She also earned high female honors at 393/450.

Additional top Bobcat finishes included Addison Ridley, with a 95 in Trap, Karsyn Bower with an 88 in Sporting Clays, and Troy Svec with a 46 in Doubles Skeet. See the full list of Bobcat top finishers below.
