The SCC Bobcats put on an offensive clinic at Trinidad State last week. Southeast went scorched earth on the Trojans, scoring 84 runs in the four game series. Associate Head Coach
Tyson Parks had some observations, "Our guys are really seeing the ball well right now. We've faced some adversity this year, and we've played some different guys to solidify playing positions."
Game One:
Southeast CC 8
Trinidad State 7
Jack Hogan went 2 for 2 at the plate and
Teigan Munce drove in three runs.
Jordan Lemon got the win after throwing 6 innings,
Will Flege closed the Trojans down in the 7th inning to get the save.
Game Two:
Southeast CC 23
Trinidad State 10
Jack Hogan went off again at the plate with 11 RBI on 6 at bats.
Game Three:
Southeast CC 23
Trinidad State 1
SCC scored in every inning, highlighted by 9 runs in the top of the 1st.
Jack Hogan and
Crew Moeller hit homers. The Cats got a solid pitching performance from
Van Haneberg. He allowed just one run in a 5 inning outing.
Game Four:
Southeast CC 30
Trinidad State 2
SCC put up video game numbers in this one. The Cats erupted for 17 runs in the 4th inning and didn't looks back.
Teigan Munce drove in 7 runs,
Jack Hogan and
Gabe Dalton had 5 RBI's a piece.Â
Parks has already started looking ahead to the last 5 games of the regular season. "I hope this series is a sign of things to come. We're playing our best at the end after some challenges throughout the season. It's important to remember to play one game at a time. I'm more concerned with how we continue to play.
Stat Of The Season:
The Cats have 91 home runs this year, compared to 50 this same time last year.
What's Next?
SCC travels to Cloud County CC for two on Tuesday. They'll host McCook CC on Thursday and Friday.
