WOMEN'S RECAP:
The injury plagued SCC Women's Basketball team dropped a home game against the Blue Devils of Kansas City Kansas CC on Saturday, 71 to 57. The Bobcats fall to 4 and 7 on the season with the loss. SCC was without the services of Fr. Jessica Wertenberger and Soph. Destiny Rakestraw again. Wertenberger was available for limited action, but Head Coach Joel Wooton is playing it safe with the Falls City, NE native, and wants her to be back to 100 percent before returning to the floor. Southeast got a very solid performance from Soph. Isabella Minatti in the paint. She had 15 points and 9 rebounds on the day. Fr. Aleziah Anderson was good again. She had 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals. KCKCC gor a strong outing from Bennet Peck. She poured in 23 points for the Blue Devils.

MEN'S RECAP:
The SCC Men let a late game 13 point lead slip away and ended up dropping an overtime battle by the score of 97 to 88 to NJCAA DII 25th ranked KCKCC. The Blue Devils' Jeremiah Lewis buried a 3 pointer with time expiring to extend the game into overtime. KCKCC took control in the 5 minute extension, outscoring the Bobcats 22 to 13. Southeast CC drops to 4 and 8 on the season with the loss. The Bobcats certainly played well enough to upset the Blue Devils. They had a balanced scoring attack with six players scoring in double figures. The Bobcats also won the battle of the boards. The game was another example of just how quickly things can change, especially down the stretch.

UP NEXT:
Southeast CC hosts the annual SCC Holiday Classic this Friday and Saturday. The four team field fills out with Neosho CC, Highland CC, Central CC and Southeast CC. Game times for Friday are 2,4,6, and 8pm. Saturday starts are noon, 2,4, and 6pm.
