Northeast CC had six players score in double figures to lead the Hawks to a 90 to 74 win over the Bobcats on Wednesday night. Northeast CC answered every run Southeast CC put together while forcing 26 turnovers. Fr. Marquis Toliver led the Bobcats in scoring with 22 points. Soph. Jonan Claussen had 16 points. Head Coach Joel Wooton got a solid outing from reserve forward Jamari Franklin. The Freshman from Louisiana was effective on both sides of the floor as he presented problems for the NECC big men. Franklin finished with a double-double scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
The Bobcats fall to 1 and 2 on the season with the loss.
They'll finish a 4 game homestand on Saturday when they host Hesston College. The Larks were humbled by Hutchinson CC last Tuesday night, 104 to 53.
