Steve has extensive experience in sports broadcasting and journalism. His career started at KTNC radio in Falls City, NE where he served as the Sports Director. He moved into TV as a sports anchor/reporter for KOLN-TV where he covered Nebraska national championships in football and volleyball as well as High School and Junior College sports across the state. Steve is also a former sports anchor/reporter at KLKN-TV. He earned a Nebraska Associated Press First Place award in the "Best Sports Special" category. After 15 years in TV broadcasting, Steve has continued his video production career in many different capacities. He's been involved with SCC Athletics since 2016. Steve produces video, and serves as the play-by-play voice for the athletic departments streaming network. He also manages the Bobcat social media channels and produces content for the sccbobcats.com website.
He'll be the first to recognize how fortunate he is to be involved with Bobcat Athletics. "Coaches and players at the JUCO level are in it for the love of the game and to potentially move into a four year school. I enjoy promoting athletes at this level.
