Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, Hidalgo developed a lifelong passion for soccer and coaching while playing at Lincoln Northeast. He continued his dedication to soccer by participating in club soccer, and playing with CSA and Magellan Soccer Club since he was a youth.

Hidalgo has spent eight years coaching club soccer at Sporting Nebraska and Villarreal Nebraska Academy, leading various age groups to notable achievements. For the last six years, he has been the Varsity Girls Soccer coach at Lincoln Northeast, a position he took on at the age of 19, making him one of the youngest head coaches in Nebraska.

Currently, he is pursuing his D coaching license from US Soccer, which is a testament to his ongoing commitment to improving his coaching skills.
