The SCC Women's Wrestling team is ranked #5 in the NJCAA pre-season survey. Quite a statement for a program that's just two years old. The high national team ranking is bolstered by 4 individual wrestlers ranking in the top ten of their respective weight classes.  Soph. Hasley Salgado is pre-season ranked #6 at 110 pounds. Soph. Naveah Leonard is ranked pre-season #3 at 145 pounds. Fr. Anya Hatch is pre-season ranked #2 at 180 pounds, and Soph. Kiara Boldridge is ranked pre-season #1 at 235 pounds. Head Coach Terry Pack and his staff continue to make waves and garner national recognition. "We are proud of the continued support we are getting from the community, athletes, college, and parents. All of this is a recipe for success, which directly relates to our ranking." Despite all the positive momentum, Pack is a veteran coach, and realizes the grind of a very long season lies ahead. "We understand rankings are nothing more than a number, and hard work and dedication will truly determine how we finish at the end of the season."

The Bobcats will open their season this weekend with a pair of duals against Iowa schools. Friday finds the Bobcats at Ellsworth CC, and Saturday they'll take part in the Luther Invite in Simpson, Iowa.
